Velour on a 560SEC was a no-cost option. You could have what you wanted basically on an SEC, velour, leather or amaretta.
On the saloons, velour was a cost option for the 420 but no-cost option on 500 and 560's.
I like the velour in the coupés, but it would have to be really clean to look good. I expect it would clean really well though, old Benzes usually do because its quality stuff. The velour is proper stuff with a high wool content.
There was a really lovely looking white 420SEC for sale a while ago, with two tone grey velour - looked gorgeous and really suited it.
