Mercedes A150 W169 Weird Noise Under Acceleration

Hi,

My cars started to make a weird noise when under acceleration am not sure how to describe the noise it's making but it feels like the cars struggling for power when accelerating. It's not been serviced in a while either, any ideas what it could be? I've recently installed a brand new battery.

Thanks for the prompt reply, i think the first thing i want to check are the spark plugs, is it easy to gain access to the plugs do you know?

The plugs on your engine are not the easiest to change, I normally do them from underneath the car.

Sadly that pic isnt one of my cars, an ex DTM 190 from back in the day.
