Mercedes A170 Diesel YP51UCZ problem with engine

I have Mercedes A170 Diesel YP51UCZ, I have some problem either with Turbo or manifold or seals. As you can see in pics exhaust fume comes from just before turbo, I am not sure what is the problem as I have been to mechanic and few said its turbo, few said its manifold. not very confused

Could you please advise me on this.

Mercedes A170 Diesel YP51UCZ

Mechanic just put some paste like toothpaste on it for temporary measures as the horrible exhaust smell was coming in the car.

Yeah, exhaust paste

Needs stripping down and seeing where the leak is coming from.

It maybe able to be welded.
