If that was an EVOII I'd be on the next flight to Kiwi land to buy it! Then we'd go on the beer or wine if you fancied it instead for a week or two! :D

Might be a good parts car...

Can't help thinking it would have more value had it been kept as a standard Cossie?

I actually think it would look quite good if it had the proper race livery on it to go with the 2 tone

If I understand the ad correctly, he claims that new MB engines come in a crate with no engine number. Wot? Who puts the engine number on then; the dealer?

If they are anything like the gearboxs they machine the old number off and apply a tag with the new number once reconditioned.

More likely story - stolen/recovered (hence the 'damaged' marker!) and numbers ground off to conceal the true identity of the engine (?)

If it was a brand new MB crate engine why does it have a 2.5-16 cam cover on a 2.3 litre engine (?) I've not heard of MB engines with no engine numbers myself.

Maybe wise to do some digging as it doesn't add up to me.

Shady very shady as the old saying goes if it's too good to be true then..........
