Swiss artist Dante Rubli has recreated the iconic Mercedes Benz 300SL Gullwing in the form of a sculpture. The artist displayed a 1:1 scale model and another 1:2 scale model at the Top Marques Monaco this year. Sculpted using the original 1954 plan for the car, the artist created it with his hands, at times following the same techniques that were originally adopted for the car by Mercedes-Benz craftsmen. The sculptures have been finished in white gold leaf and include a remote controlled light system. More images and video after the jump.
