Had a type 116 280se some years ago , lovely car , great presence ,nice drive but best as Mercedes intended it . This one has obviously been messed with , no interior photos , and the seller so wants to keep the car that he "relisted" it . Long way to view before you buy, plus shipping costs etc . Probably better to buy a car nearer to home . Having lived in the USA in the eighties , some states did not ( perhaps still do not ) have any form of check on vehicles condition .

How about this one? Been for sale for a while and the interior looks like it could do with a clean, apart from that look nice.

Timing chains, camshafts, fuel injection system, steering box, heater system flaps and rust. Other than that they are great cars!

Oh and the central locking vacuum system is a bit suspect.....

Silver SEL has nice plate PEP212S
450 SE lot rarer than SEL though
