Mercedes-benz c220 more power

I have MERCEDES-BENZ C220 AMG SPORT CDI BLUEEFF-CY

2012

I have a remap booked in for weds this week and they wont give me any indication on improved speed etc but what can I expect?

My girlfriends slk200 12 plate beats mine for speed and I would like to be quicker of the lights

Anything else I can do?

Get an AMG?

Seriously, an SLK 200 petrol is a very light car and I doubt a remapped 220CDi will bother it. Hopefully a remap will make it a bit quicker.

I do a serious amount of miles or I would have opted for a bigger engine etc

Before I bought the C63 I had the c220 diesel AMG sport... Great little car but found it sluggish on take off and gear changes a little indecisive.

I too got a remap but from angel tuning and it transformed the car making it a lot more responsive and the gears overall much more to my liking..

It's not a bad way to go for a few horses... Think it increases from around 170-200 bhp but never dyno'd

Not sure on what year models you are comparing but if its the ones below the c220cdi mapped id have thought would keep with the r172 slk. Dont forget the cdi has alot more torque especially after a remap.

r172 slk200 / 184 PS (135 kW; 181 hp)@5250 250 N·m (184 lb·ft)@1800-4600

w204 c220 /170 PS (125 kW; 168 hp)@3000-4200, 400 N·m (295 lb·ft)@1400-2800

As above , should feel as quick wen mapped
