Hi.
I believe i can answer my own question. Just taken a look at Wikipaedia which gives excellent coverage and definition of OBD.

It appears that OBD2 must have the connector within 2 feet of the driver hence mine is not OBD2.

I still need diagnostic tool howevermand any advice will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Not really a discussion that belongs to this thread but: "what is your budget for the tool"?

Hi.

I can go to around £300.00.

Thank you.

I believe a Carsoft clone would be less than £300, I'm not familiar with the product. Unfortunately a good Star clone would cost a bit more.

Hi.
Thank you. Tried looking for a Carsoft clone yesterday however couldn't find one. Seems to be a few Star C3 about. I assume that these are clones?

Prices appear to from £350.00 upwards to around £800.00

Would any of the handheld devices work on a non OBD2 even with limited facilities?
