Mercedes Benz E55 AMG W211 2003 (53)
For sale is my father’s E55 AMG, 2003 manufactured and 53 plate registered. Powered by the legendary M113K supercharged 5.4L V8 engine, with performance credentials that are still relevant today.
The car has been in his ownership for approx 5 years and it has 3 previous keepers. This car is UNMODIFIED, producing its original 476bhp. Being an older gentleman, you might imagine this car has been looked after and its needs tended to regularly, and you’d be right. Service items have been kept on top of as well as brakes, tyres and other consumables as required. This vehicle has an intact service history and has been maintained in his ownership by the renowned Godstone Mercedes. His reason for sale simply is that the car is seldom used, as he is a retiree with amenities and friends close by. As sad as he is to offer the car for sale, for the sake of the car it is only right it is enjoyed by someone who will continue its care and cherish it.
Presented in well kept Brilliant Silver, this car shines as good today as it did in 2003. Fitted with factory original 18” alloy wheels in the classic design of the time, the ‘fat-5’. The vehicle has had a recent detail inclusive of interior, wet-vac, leather clean/protect, paint decontamination, single stage machine polish and ceramic coating. The car presently has circa 97,000 miles on the clock, which for the ages is considerably low, and lower than many of these cars that come up for sale.
The tyres are in good condition and are Continental Sport Contact tyres in factory sizes as recommended by Mercedes when new, so he’s kept this car as close to original as possible. Brakes are in good order with plenty of mileage left and a service was carried out this Summer by Godstone Mercedes. The car has been health checked by Godstone Mercedes 28/9/20 and confirmed good to go with no mechanical issues reported that need attention.

Naturally, a car of this age is not perfect and there are a couple of items that prevent it being that way. These are by no means bad but they are worth noting in case you’d like to remedy them yourself. Firstly someone reversed into the rear bumper lightly, and although this did not damage the bumper it did crack the paint. Secondly the OSR arch has some small surface rust that is common on these vehicles, which is by no means that obvious right now but should be looked at. Finally, as with most used cars the wheels may benefit from a refurbishment at some stage, albeit still look good. That’s it! These issues are reflected in the price and therefore no huge discounts will be considered on the items if requested by a prospective buyer.
