Hello All

I have a low millage 2001 E320cdi Avantgarde Estate will full main dealer service history. My service booklet says its covered for rust (inside to outside) for 30 years from purchase date.

I am confused by some people saying there is now an 8 year cut-off point for claiming on the mobilo rust policy ? can this be the case ? Has MB actually said this ?

Mobilo has been changed a few times. But these aren't retrospective so your service book is your point of reference to which Mobilo variant you actually have.

which Mobilo variant you actually have.

More importantly which kind of rust does the Op have, perforation or raw edge rust.?

As already discussed raw edge rust isn't covered by Mobilo-life.

The 8 year cut off is for goodwill repairs for surface corosion, not for perforation from the inside out as per the 30 year Mobilo scheme.
