Mercedes Benz oil 229.5 amg spec ( c63 ) etc

Is anyone actually running this oil in the C63, I'd be interested in know what temp behaviours they are seeing.

I believe with Petronas oil gets colder in the winter and runs at higher temp faster when working through traffic. This is in comp with Mobil 1 before.

Welcome, it should reduce the price by approx £130.

Brooklands is quite resistant to bringing your own oil option.

MB: We can't use customer supplied oil.
PP: It's Mercedes Benz Oil.
MB: What brand is it?
PP: Mercedes Benz Oil, I've got purchase invoice from MB dealer.
MB: We can't use customer supplied oil.
PP: Then I will take my business somewhere else.
MB: Let me talk to manager. (...) Yes, we can use the oil, just bring the invoice with you.

New service price £219, down from £320. Maybe I should call Guildford and Epsom and see what they say?

Brooklands told me on several occasions categorically that you can't bring your own oil.

Going to Beaconsfield instead!

I just booked service at Epsom as they seemed nicer and more interested in my business and didn't have a problem with own oil. I was also told they will contribute to cost of taxi to train station up to 5 miles. Goodbye Brooklands.

Very good customer focused deal! If the service is poor then go somewhere else, something we should do more often in the UK :bannana:

Popped in to MB Dartford and they are doing the same deal with Petronas oil albeit advertising does call it MB.

Is this stuff 5W40 or 5W30? My 55K has 140K on the clock, and I use 5W40.

I bought some last week at £24 delivered it was a good buy for top Merc oil that 5 litres should do me for top ups for the next 3 years.
