2012 c class coupe
Hi All,

Sunday 20.05.12 went to Mecedes Benz World in Weybridge for my Birthday , drove my new C Class Coupe which just clocked 900miles , i had a track day purchased for me which was great , my wife entered me into a competition & i won , got to be a passenger in a C63 driven by Dug from the silver arrows display team , drifting & 360's in front of a couple of hundred people , whilst 3 other C63's in pursuit around the track , Awsome day out & lucky :bannana:

We live about a mile from MB-World and visit at least once a month. Really relaxed atmosphere and they don't even mind people crawling all over the cars. It's a pretty impressive venue with cars over three floors.

A great place to take young kids too - our two boys are under 5 and absolutely love it.

Don't forget that Brooklands, one of the key pre war Motorsport venues is right next door and is also a good day out (now including the Cobham bus museum too). It's not very cheap for a one-off, but their annual Trust Membership is a bargain considering how many themed weekend events they run.

I was there on the 13th and did the 1/2 day AMG experience, fantastic experience. Saw people getting passenger rides which looked great as well. The synchronised spinning on the skid pan was a great visual :)

I loved it but an hour in a sl63 on that track was more than enough, how did you fill a half day?

Half day equates to 3 hours but thats what they advertise it as  You get to drive three different AMGs of your choice. There is a skid pan which is great fun practicing drifiting with and without the electronic safety aids. They also let you loose on the trak which is awesome. I got smoke coming of the C63 estates brakes after my track session  You also do high speed barking and avoidance and a skid straight where you try to brake and steer on a wet surface again with and wiout the aids. It is a terrific way to get to know how the cars handle on the limit and how to drive them in extreme circumstances egf emergency stop in the wet. Highly recommend it and am still smiling :)
