Mercedes Body shop recommendation please. Berkshire.

Could anyone recommend a main or franchise dealer body shop in the Berkshire area? I have a paint defect on my boot lid and have received feedback from Ascot, who advised against using Basingstoke due to concerns that they may exacerbate the issue. Thank you for your assistance.

If the car is under warranty, then having the work done by an MB-authorised accident repair centre ensures that MB can't wiggle out of future warranty claims relating to paintwork or rust. The same applies if the car is on a lease and will need to go back to the finance provider at some point.

For paint warranty claims a dealer with a body shop / dedicated authorised individual at the dealership will need to investigate the matter before it can be authorised. Items such as paint depth are checked to ensure the paint is original and no one is trying their luck.
