I am looking to hire a C63 AMG for seven days. I am struggling to find any companies out there that have this vehicle as part of their fleet.
Does anybody here have any contacts or know were I may be able to
hire the above vehicle.

I am looking to change my car, I currently drive an M3 CSL and want to make sure that the C63 ticks all the right boxes.

Last time I bought an C55 AMG and was not impressed, don't want to make the same mistake again.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated :thumb:

Try Guy Salmon, they certainly used to hire out all sorts of exotics.....

Thats going to be a tough one to live up to I have driven loads of M3 CSL around the ring and on customer demos for BMW at Rockingham and it is an awesome car.

I will be driving the C63 myself next month but must admit as much as I love MB nothing MB I have ever driven comes close to the M3 or M5, with the exception of the SLR of course but then you are into seriously stupid money.

Will report back in a couple of weeks what I think of the C63

Once you start it, that's just the beginning! You'll be hooked! It is addictive!!! 7 months into the ownership and I can still get an adrenalin rush!

this thread just made me price up a C63 Estate ...

ouch!

GMW, love the colour combo.....would be exactly as I'd spec it. Congrats.

Personally I did not like the way the car handled. It was insanely quick in a straight line but not as good round bends. (That could just be my driving though). You might laugh at this but it made me feel old driving it, I was 27 years old when I bought it.
After this car I bought a E90 BMW, I just seem to prefer the handling on BMW's, the C55 was the first Mercedes I'd ever bought.
I vowed never to buy another Merc again after that, but here I am now thinking of the new C63 AMG.
I definatley miss the sound the C55 made, could never get enough of that :thumb:

No merc is going to handle like any M series car , 'point and press' though , they are a lot of fun ....

Nothing beats the V8 noise !

Well, to be honest your assessment is pretty accurate - it's not that great going round corners but in my view it's other qualities more than compensate... It was a C55 or an M3 when I was looking - couldn't get on with the M3 - liked the power but the ride was terrible. And there were too many of them on the road. So I ended up with the C55 - and I love it!

I can certainly see the appeal of the C55 over the M3, I've only ever see one other C55 on the road. The interior was nice the build quality is good, the sat nav in mine was terrible :dk:.
One last point is about the look of the C55. To most people it's just anothe c-class, to me it did not look special enough. Some people may like that but I didn't.
The C63 AMG looks fantastic, really aggresive and you certainly won't mistake one of those for any other c class saloon. Look at the new M3 Saloon, it looks bland and boring compared to it's AMG counterpart.

The whole COMAND module thing is excellent - the actual Nav software though is not as nice looking as some others - BMW included. It's more 2d than 3d. But it gets me where I want to go...

Hmmm - well personally - and this is of course a personal thing - I prefer the discrete look. And I agree the C63 looks great and the M3 doesn't.

So we agree on some things :)

Hope you find a C63 to hire - I think you'll find it a lot of fun!!!!!
