Car
Mercedes C32 AMG
Hi guys
Here is the C63 AMG I completed recently for a friend of the family. This had a full interior detail and an enhancement detail over two days. The car was a complete mess as it only has had a hose thrown over it since brand new. The guy had gone for the super guard protection when purchased which done its job for about 2 weeks and then disappeared. So start with, was to get the interior up to scratch and bring that new feeling back. This had 2 years of grime with minimal cleaning so was going to be fun. Here’s what was done:
-All plastics were degreased, cleaned and protected with Swissvax protector matte.
-All leather was cleaned and scrubbed with swissvax leather cleaner and then conditioned with swissvax leather milk.
-Interior glass was polished using brilliant glass cleaner.
-Then the entire car was hovered to a detailed fashion.
The carpet in the boot was covered in mud so this was steam cleaned, while the spare wheel cubby was degreased, cleaned and protected. Even the spare got a coat of swissvax autobahn.

Then it was time for the exterior. This was a real mess with having no protection or being cleaned for two years. This was the process:
-Degreaser applied to lower half of the car and door shuts. This was left to dwell.
-Snow foamed and left to dwell for 10 minutes.
-Door shuts gaps and badges scrubbed and agitated with a detailing brush.
-Thorough rinse off.
-Washed using the two bucket method and swissvax car bath.
-Clayed using swissvax paint rubber and Meg’s quick detailer.
-Re washed and rinsed.
-Dried with a 70/30 towel and warm air blower to remove water from shuts, gaps, badges and grilles.
-Single stage machine polished with lime prime and a medium/light hex logic pad.
-Wiped down with zaino snow white towel.
-Two coats of crystal rock applied to paint.
-Exterior glass polished with brilliant glass polish.
-Rubbers fed with swissvax rubber feed.
-Plastics and rear diffuser protected with swissvax protector matte.
-exhaust polished with brilliant zeppelin metal cleaner and wire wool.
-Final wipe down with swissvax nano express.
So here are the final shots:
(Also just to let you know that the wheels were not cleaned at all as they were being refurbished the next day, so will be going back next week to re colour the arches, protect the callipers and give the wheels a couple of coats of swissvax autobahn. Also I’m rubbish, as I made the video of the car before I cleaned out the rear badges. But I can assure you they were done via cotton buds and some very small amount of surfex)

The minor swirls and marring were removed but this was an enhancement detail, not paint correction.

Minor swirls and marring removed. Major defects still present dues to being an enhancement detail & not paint correction.

This was the winning shot for me. Really shows how well crystal rock pushes that extra mile.

Lovely finish, truly stunning :thumb:

Only problem is, drive it 10ml and it will look like the Range Rover! :wallbash:

Yeah, but you can't go more than 6.5 mph or something:crazy:

I use rotary. D.a. Is fine but you will make a larger impresion with a rotary in capable hands.

There's looked after & then there's obsessive. I know that car, it's not a garage queen but rather a tool used by a businessman.

This car is not a work horse, it's his weekender. He has a fiat for work. The car was only in bad shape because it's left under huge trees and gets covered in bird etchings. This added to the sun baking it has ruined the bonnet, front wings and boot. They all need to be wet sanded completely so being a Mercedes it would proberly be cheaper to re paint.

I've seen it with snow chains on being used all last winter.

That's awesome, but must of been a weekend :)
