Hello can anyone help I got a 2013 citan that won’t crank I tried jump start, push start, fuses, relay, key and receiver, it’s saying fuel pressure that won’t clear, has anyone any ideas? I seen on another forum about updating ecu, how is this done?

I have got no power going to my starter switch wire on Mercedes citan but it will push start or start from jump cable from battery to solenoid, would I have to go through wiring loom or do they have a starter relay? Thanks to anybody who can help 👍🏼

Not many Citan owners here I think - as mentioned this is the same vehicle as the Renault Kangoo (bar a few cosmetics) so it might be worth seeing if there's anything online about similar issues with those?

Ye I’ve looked thanks for reply 👍🏼

Hope you can get it sorted - is this petrol or diesel?

Its diesel mate

OK, that engine is also used in the A Class, B Class and CLA ... plus a Dacia, an Infiniti, and various Renaults:

So hopefully someone will be able to advise! :)

Had starter off and tested seems ok, but I got burnt smell when I first picked it up, last time I had burning smell alternator was bad maybe it’s alternator what’s causing all problems I just didn’t think it would stop it cranking over?any way I will try that Monday, well start trying to tackle it, I will keep you posted, I appreciate your help I knew kangoo was same engine I did know all them models☝🏼 was same 🤣👍🏼

I have the same van and same problem, passenger footwell had water in it and now the same symptoms you have. Did you find out what this issue is?

My last van had water in passenger footwell someone jet washed back and water went behind into footwell, that blew control module behind pedals, get it dried out and put a diagnostic on it and let me know, that module is key reader. There is another module behind glove box.

I’ve got two threads on here with two different vans but same model, what’s van doing not starting or indicators going nuts?

Sorry, it’s a Citan. Everything works electrically apart from headlights and doesn’t start. You can hear the relays clicking when key is turned but nothing else. There was water in the footwell passenger side, van has been dried out and leak sorted. The boy has been replaced and all fuses tested so for the life of me I just can’t figure it out

Have you checked the key reads the ignition? Have you tried jumping it? Or keep ignition on and I put jump leads negative to an earth on engine and positive from battery too starter, see if it turns over, mine was alternator and got my mates diagnostic and cleared all codes.
