Hi guys n gals
I bought this little beauty a couple of weeks back from a different forum.
The car is a 2002 CL500 special AMG edition. Its a 5litre V8. A truly stunning drive. Big pile of receipts, service history, MOTs .. Lots of history.
A combination of it not getting enough drive time (it competes with my 911, my daily driver, and a couple of motorbikes) and a change of personal circumstance (I'm buying a new house), I am putting it up for sale.
When I bought it, I took it on a couple of long(ish) trips to get a feel for the car, to run some diagnostics etc. I found that the car had a couple of dormant faults. These included, an ABS sensor ring, a break light switch, and a drive shaft pick up ring. I have had these issues all resolved by taking the car to the highly respected German Autocare in Leeds (German Auto Care | Mercedes VW Audi servicing and repair specialists in Leeds and Wakefield).
Having owned the car a couple of week (and buying it blind without first seeing it), I will give you the good n bad on the car.
The Good:
The car is in the Leeds area for viewings. I am looking to sell for what it owes me; £4100. £3500 original sale, and £600 for the electric elements now repaired (receipts for work included). Or open to trades for a 4x4 (Freelander, Discovery, Range, Defender etc).
This is a HELL of a car for money. Original sale ticket shows c.£80k. More Photo's to follow.
Any questions .. please feel free to ask.
Keith

The Good:
- Solid engine
- Low mileage (90k or so)
- FSH
- Very clean example both in and out
- All electrics in the car working (front and rear parking, electric folding mirrors, lights, head unit, sat nav, air con, heated and cooled seats, .. etc.) the list goes on
- 30MPG on the motorway, 15-20MPG in town.
- A tiny bit of bubbling on the rear drivers arch (about 50p size). Given the materials this car is made of, this is not rust, just the paint needing a touch up.
- The interior is very clean, but the steering wheel shows a few signs of wear, and a few small scuffs to the leather trim in places (I am being picky).
- The dash screen was replaced under previous ownership with what appears to be a non OEM screen, which means an error pops up each time the engine starts. This is cleared, each time, and you still can access all the menus etc.
- The car has been badged as a CL55, rather than the CL500 (not badged this way by me)
