Hi all been looking at this forum for some time and find it very informative
I purchased a mercedes cl600 last year and what a car dispite several issues since owning it a intermittent non crank issue has arisen starter seems good have replaced the relay with an original mb one and new battery any advice or help with diagnosing further would be much appreciated.
Checks so far
1.starter relay
2.key accepted in eis and turns.
3.dash lights up when ignition on
4.dash shows when in p and n
5.selonoid clicks when pressing brake peddle
6.steering lock disengages
7.replace battery

The car started off with intermittent no crank and after being left for a few days would start fine 20 or more times then nothing leave it again for a while ie several days and starts fine again for some time now nothing when trying to crank over.

Not sure if I have posted this in the right area as I'm new to this thanks again

Hey. Try to look over the ABR module (basically Mercedes name for ABS). It’s located near front bumper, on the left side under the hood. What usually happens is moisture get inside, corroding processor. This result in an unexpected behaviour such as this faulty module could prevent the car to start. You can diagnose it with STAR to see if you have a fault code for this ABR module and plan accordingly after that.
Also I’ve heard that gearbox controller module also could prevent the car to start
Hope that helps!
