Mercedes Cls63 AMG

It's probably linked to the map my car has installed, it even has an extra feature that I am sure will split opinion lol. It was installed early January. I'm going back next week to get it finished and will do a write up on everything MSL did with the car.

Jules

Look forward to your write up as I will have my map updated in the near future.l

Well spotted. I'm keeping my eye on this, I know decatted cars are a little more smokey but I'm still going to keep an eye on it. I've had a friend follow me and he didn't notice any obvious smoke, also I don't see much haze at night with the cars behind me shining their headlights.

Will probably oil change it this weekend.
I'm sure it's nothing.. Just curious why it is on the overrun, Ie with the engine under high vacuum. It appears to be on one bank?.

Is yours the car with race fuel

I believe that acid has an evolution of your old maps.

Sounds good, I'm heading over soon for some tweaks to the map, so we'll see if mine makes anymore... not that it needs any more torque!!

As for the gearbox, mine's been mapped for around 9,000 miles now (admittedly most being motorway cruises) but the gearbox has been absolutely perfect in all conditions.

The thing I find is that the car has so much power that even when opening the taps, you struggle to make use of it all as even half throttle is going to throw you into license losing territory before you can think. So, for me at least, the gearbox is barely ever going to have to handle that full 800-900lb/ft.

Yes you're right, it's not like we're tracking it every weekend or doing standing starts, I can't find many threads about gearboxes busting so hopefully we should be ok :D

Mine did the same on the dyno at msl..

Luke you have/had quite a line up of cars there. Which one of those feels the quickest in a straight line?
