Quite a few of the local 'boy racers' are in fact members of car clubs sharing expensive supercars. Technically the cars are 'rented' so confiscating cars might not be an option.
On another note.... we don't actually know that the cars were stopped and drivers' details taken at the scene.........?
It should still be an option , with the owner then having to go after the driver for recovery of their losses . If this results in the 'clubs' restricting what is done with their cars , perhaps via gps tracking , then so much the better .
