Mercedes E320 CDI Elegance Estate (Euro 4) 7 speed tip auto.

Hoping to sell in August, but thought I would try here first to see if any interest before advertising in more widely.

57 reg, September 2007, 64,000 miles approx, 2 owners, Full Mercedes Service History. Correctly stamped book, all invoices, next service is pre-paid and transferable, as a service plan was taken out with Mercedes. This Service Care covers the cost of all manufacturer service items required in the service schedule, including for example, brake fluid, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter and screen-wash. The service can be carried out by any Official Mercedes Benz dealership in the country. The next service is due in 10,000 miles. Service intervals are approximately every 15,500 miles.

The exterior is Cubanite Metallic Silver and inside is black leather. The car has heated front seats and benefits from an upgraded Mercedes Comand Navigation system. This was an option on the last run out models, NTG 2.5 and includes in addition to full postcode navigation, an internal hard drive, a SD card slot, Bluetooth connectivity for hands free etc. The car also has a reversing camera, which even works well in the dark.

The car was ordered new with the 5-twin spoke upgraded alloys. It has burr walnut leather trim, auto climate control, easy-pack storage, part electric seats etc. We have also had fitted a detachable hidden tow bar. We have mainly used this to tow garden waste to the tip in order to keep the boot space area clean. We also have a factory boot liner so the carpet is still like new.

This is the face lifted model with the V6 engine, which is superb. It combines effortless performance, lots of torque and yet is amazingly economical, especially on the motorway where we do most of our driving. This is our 6th Mercedes and we are replacing it with a 212 model.

In our opinion, the Elegance is the best of the 211 models as the ride and seats are so much more comfortable. Our previous one was a Sport and we searched high and low to find another mint condition Elegance.

The car has never let us down, however, as part of the regular servicing, it has twice had some of the glow plugs replaced.

The only item renewed outside of Mercedes was a ball joint that was picked up at an MOT, which they replaced with a genuine Mercedes part. The car has also had a new windscreen as it received a small chip in the line of sight of the driver.

The car is regularly washed and vacumed. It is clay barred twice a year and is normally polished with the Meguiar’s 3 step system. I have machine polished it only once, sometime last year.

The bodywork is in immaculate condition; it still looks like almost new. There are only a very few very minor marks that most wouldn’t pick up. There is a very slight indentation on the leading edge of the bonnet, from a stone chip that has been touched in (which was there when we bought it, one or two minor nicks on the rear bumper etc. The wheels have slight curbing damage, but are not bad enough to warrant refurbishing yet. The drivers’ side door was re-sprayed after receiving a dent and there is a photographic record of the repair, which was very carefully blended in by a friend who works on my classic cars.

A car as nice as this is hard to value, so I am open to offers. I am confident that it will continue to provide very reliable motoring; it is covered by free breakdown insurance from Mercedes, due to the FMBSH, called Mobilo, which fortunately we have never had to use. Please don’t forget that the next service is also included and the tax runs out in April.

All invoices are carefully filed in a folder, which includes the original invoice, all the Mercedes servicing invoices and the MOT’s.

The car is HPI clear and the previous owner can be contacted if you would like to confirm anything about the first two years of its life. The car is being re-registered back to LT57NEY, the cherished plate in the photos is not included in the sale. These photos were taken a few months back as we were debating to buy a used replacement or a new factory order.

No canvassers or agencies. Professional inspection is welcome. The car is used to mainly drive between Blackheath and Lymington, so potentially a viewing could be made at either location.
