Hello, for sale is my E270 Avantgarde.

Usual Avantgarde refinements, such as

  • Heated electric seats
  • Electric folding wing mirrors
  • Dual zone climate control
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Bi Xenon headlights
  • 7 seat version
  • Ambient lighting with puddle lights and door handle lights
  • Boot cargo area securing kit which fits into the aluminium rails for securing cargo down
  • Two keys
  • Lots of service history
  • Recentish battery
  • New condenser last year
Just under 140k on the clock, £2,300.

Reason for sale, is that I'm here on my own since the kids left, I have this, two Golfs and a motorbike and I just need to down size (one of the Golfs will be going too, but that's for another time).

I also have a spare set of the same wheels which I intended to fit winter tyres to, but never did, I could throw that in.

Any questions, please get in touch.

I should have also mention in the good points....

  • A forum member working for Mercedes confirmed that this isn't affected by Valeo radiator issue
  • Recent replacement engine mounts, which gives a very smooth dampening of the engine
  • Recent replacement rear suspension, Arnott coil spring conversion - no more air suspension worries

The replacement suspension makes for a very positive drive, I've just come back fully loaded from a trip in the new forest and the suspension
took the load well, as well as sitting in the right place when empty - it feels spot on, I should have done this years ago instead of messing about with pumps and air springs!

It's had a pair of new rear tyres and an MOT, but I'll keep hold if it until next year now as I've just sold one of the Golfs, so possibly available again come spring time. However, I never advertised it anywhere other than two forums including this one, rather than putting it out there in the usual places. So we'll see what happens next year as I'll probably be looking out for something smaller anyway.
