Mercedes E270CDI Avantgarde (W211) January 2003 52 Plate.
I brought the W211 in 2015 from a member on another forum. The car currently has 2 previous owners. The last owner owned it for 11Years. Sadly he didn't have the service book stamped hence a large portion of it is undocumented. In the time I have had it I have covered 9k enjoyable miles. Portion of which are motorway miles. I usually travel to France via road and it's always an enjoyable drive in the w211. Fuel economy is great for a big car. It averages around 25-30MPG local and in the mid 40's on Motorways. Being a Merc it's as good as your going to get from a car of its era. In terms of reliability it's never let me down! I've spent best part of £1500 (see list of work done below) on maintenance. I'm a member on the MBClub UK forum and you can see the progress thread there documenting my ownership.

Bad Points (Being a 14 year old car it's not perfect)
I firmly believe in complete honesty so I have listed below all issue I am aware of.
Interior
B pillar has some wear
CD Changer sticks when opening
Coins/Glasses compartment sticks when pushed to open
Rear head rests don't drop when button is pressed (I think it's the fuse)
Small plastic trim from the boot is missing
Boot floor mat handle is broken
Occasionally the coolant warning comes on (faulty sensor/plug need to be pushed in)
Exterior
Overall the body work is in good condition although it is indeed of TLC
Expect the usual dinks along with the supermarket specials. There are 3 areas where rust has started to form as per expected from a W211 ie around the rear arches.
The exterior bonnet latch needs replacing.
NS bonnet release cable has "slipped"
Scrape of the NSF bumper & some paint flaking on the wing.
Small scrape OS rear bumper corner.
The wheels could benefit from a refurb.
Slight knocking noise from NSF, only relay audible on rough surface or large speed humps.
In summery a genuine clean W211 with a decent spec with plenty of life left in it! I'm based in Birmingham and free in the evenings and weekends.
