I could do with some help after getting a ridiculous quote from a garage to replace the upper track control arms,I thought I would have a crack myself I was wondering if anybody has done this job and the best way to attack it?

Good morning, When you say the upper track control arm, is it the ball joint that sits above the wheel? if so, very easy - Take off the nut you can see, above the arm just behind the balljoint are x3 torx bolts - remove these - remove the ball joint (possible slight chap with a hammer). Around £70 in parts (MB OEM) and an hour to do.

Was you getting a slight knock from the front over bumps. ???

Because I'm getting that symptom.
