I've owned this car for over 5 and a half years and have probably spent well over 10k to restore it to it's current level, yet only covered around 8000 miles during my ownership. A lot of the items on the car below are fresh and have covered around 5000 miles, tops, as I think I started doing all of the work from around 175-176k on the odometer. Here's a list of work carried out during my ownership.
M104 E320 with Beige leather, electric driver seat (Lord only knows why the passenger seat is manual), heated seats, power steering, central locking, 180k on the odometer.
I should have receipts for more or less all of the items below, but some might have been misplaced down the years, however if you come to view the car, you'll see that it's all there. For items that I can remember the year, i've noted that below also:
As you can see, a unique opportunity to buy an E320 cabriolet which has had an immense amount of restorative/maintenance work carried out. It's still not quite perfect in some places, but 1) it is almost 30 years old and 2) you will still struggle to find better elsewhere anyway unless you spend close to £20k, albeit you'll find one with lower miles on the odometer
Bad bits:

- Brand new main/upper engine wiring loom from Mercedes Brentford in 2016
- Rebuilt main roof cylinders from Top Hydraulics in the USA in 2017
- New mohair roof and headliner from Car Hood Warehouse in 2018
- Full respray in Nautic Blau Metallic in 2017
- Two tone rear light lenses
- 18 inch genuine AMG monoblock wheels, (stock 14 inch refurbished pepperpot wheels included also)
- Good tyre tread all round
- H&R lowering springs
- New Bilstein B8 shortened shock absorbers to match the lowering springs/strut top mounts in 2017
- Full underbody treatment/waxed - held up great and no rust has come through after a few years now
- Solid sills and jacking points
- Rear subframe removed, treated and powder-coated and new MB front & rear bushes fitted in 2018
- Diff bushes replaced
- All rear suspension arms, wheel bearings, swaybar links, and even hub bushing have been replaced in 2017/18
- Front wishbones (incl ball joints), swaybar bushes, tie rods, steering damper and even that strange swing-arm near the steering rack in 2020
- Steering box rebuilt for nice tight steering
- Front/rear brake discs/pads
- Front and rear speakers (a lot of W124 speakers will be torn, puffy pieces of foam)
- Both engine mounts and transmission mount in 2020
- Rebuilt windscreen wiper mechanism (don't underestimate how many W124s will have a very slow and tired wiper system and how much of a pain this job is to do)
- Heater blower motor replaced in 2020
- New battery a couple of years ago
- New viscous fan
- New windscreen - crystal clear and not with thousands of peppered stone chips in the summer in 2017
- Rebuilt seat belt butlers with fresh gears for silent and smooth operation (don't underestimate how many of these cars will have worn mechanisms for this)
- Head gasket done at around 170k by previous owner
- Diff fluid, transmission fluid and general engine oil/plugs etc carried out by myself a couple of times (the car has hardly been driven much anyway)
- Car has just had a service this weekend with fresh oil/filter, spark plugs, air filter and fuel filter
- Rocker cover gasket just been done as well, as it had an oil leak

Bad bits:
- Couple of bits of missing interior trim (I am very sure I should have the piece of wood by the rear seats and arm-rest console, so if I find them, i will refit them)
- Little round dome-clips on both sides of the black flaps which should pull down when the hood is raised, have popped out and lingering somewhere in their recess, so need to be located and pushed back in. If I can get around to this over xmas, I will sort it
- Autobox is a little tired like a lot of the W124 cars from this era. It still shifts and works, but it's not buttery smooth, but certainly not offensive
- A couple of suspension creaks that need a bit of time on a ramp to tweak and remedy
- Front seats have some cracks in the leather due to age, but no worn/torn bolsters and the cracks can be repaired by a leather specialist, I'm sure
- ABS light comes on sometimes - OVP relay needs to be replaced if I can get around to it soon
