Hi all, hoping to get some help!
I recently purchased a E350 and I'm having issues with juddering when accelerating between 1500-2000 rpm. (More noticeable accelerating uphill under light/mid throttle) the car drives faultlessly when cold but as soon as it reaches normal temp (usually about 30 minutes of driving) it starts having issues. I have receipts of the torque converted being replaced so hoping someone can help

TIA

Private or dealer sale buddy ?
I’m guessing that’s why the owner got rid of the car ?

Dealer sale mate! Yeah that's my impressions as well! I have to give it to the car garage, they've already had it back 3 times to try fix it! Just running out of suggestions 🤷🏻‍♂️

There is an MB specialist just outside Bristol near Clevedon called Avantgarde Mercedes , maybe suggest to the selling dealer that the car goes there for diagnosis or repair (paid for by them )

That's actually a really good suggestion, I'll mention that to them! Thanks mate

When was the gearbox last serviced? I had the exact same issue and a gearbox service sorted it

Usual suspects are , turbo actuator sticking , exhaust back pressure sensor failing , don't assume it's a gearbox issue . A session on star or xentry, should give you clues , even a self scan with icarsoft would help. Have you had the eml come on yet ??

Next time it starts jerking , pull over and switch off , 10 seconds wait ,start again ,see if the issues goes away .. all be it for a short while likely. Could be a boost issue also. Split pipe etc.

Thank you mate I will look into this! The biggest thing that throws me off is it only does this when the engine is warm! The first 30 minutes of driving it drives perfect

I'll have a look through the service history but I may just get one booked in and hope for the best 🤣
It would of had one at the time of the convertor change . Fluid level could be wrong , if it was done by amateurs I suppose.

This is the second thread now I’ve read suggesting that some 7g gearboxes have ATF/gearbox tubes and dipsticks in the engine bay on 2010-2012 E class .
This is news to me and I’m happy to be proved wrong. But I’m saying all 7g (and 7g+ ) are fill from the sump with no dipstick for gearbox oil in the engine bay .
That picture is an engine oil dipstick

My 2010 E350 CDI 7g has no tranny dipstick.......:(
