    When Mercedes Enthusiast did the photo shoot for my C124 Widebody ( feature article coming this summer ), they decided to take some pix of my 1971 280SL.
    Found out a few weeks ago that it would be in the current ( March 2013 ) issue ..page 44 and 45. :D

    It's paint code 576 - Red.
    The W113's had five or six shades of red...
    576 is dark but not as dark as dark red or as light as medium red. :crazy:

    If you haven't noticed the passenger is very masculine, my body man and painter John Walls...
    The writer took liberty and wrote as it was he and his wife taking a drive...a bit of poetic license ;)

    Saw this in the copy of the magazine I bought this morning - lovely car. Just what I aspired to in the early 70s!

    When I was looking for my first Merc I saw one of these, and I was very, very tempted - but didn't quite succumb. Maybe when I retire....
