Just noticed that my First Aid Kit "expired" at the end of December (it is a T-reg/1999 car so I suppose 4 years is pretty good going). Does anyone know of any cheap ways of getting hold of these? The part number is 202 860 00 50 but the dealer wants almost £30 for one of these!

I expect the plasters are still sticky. What else are you going to use?!

Try ebay i've seen them for about a tenner,Plenty on there now :)
They will prolly have expired too though, that's why they're on there!

When I bought my car, last Feb, the previous owner or dealer had stolen the first-aid kit :( . I got a good deal from the stealership though as they had a couple in stock. I was amazed to find that different models have quite varying prices, but usually the same sized kit!

I think if you get into a situation where you need to use bandages & stuff the patient isn’t likely to want to check the sale by date on yer plasters :D

Buy a replacement kit with equivalent contents (all pretty standard) from Boots and stuff it in! Alternatively Screwfix do a "Motorists First Aid Kit" for £10.99

Unless you know the "patient" well I wouldn't consider using any of the first-aid-kit. You are very likely to be sued for "malpractice" or "incompetence" if your first-aid ends up making them any worse! :(

But if I was lying in pieces after a smash I would rather someone 'had a go' rather than left me leaking the red stuff till the Ambulance arrived :-(

Boots is were I refill mine as an when its needed. You've got to carry one most places abroad so I try and keep it up to date, I'm not too sure about the rest of Europe, but in Germany you are required by law to carry a first aid kit and render aid if you're first on the scene at an accident.
