Mercedes Gearbox Specialist - North West

Hi all,

This morning when my car hit ~70mph on the motorway it went into limp mode with the error "Reversing not possible, contact workshop".

I have taken to my local garage for a diagnostics, and they are unable to perform any work and have recommended I speak to a Mercedes specialist. The following fault codes were returned:

• 056300 - The power supply voltage of terminal 87 is too high
• 092100 - The shift of the inner shaft if fault

Can anyone recommend a specialist in the north west, ideally as close as possible to Wigan that specialises in automatic gearboxes.

tbf you need a mercedes specialist and not a greabox specialist unless your box is foobarred which it doesn't sound like.

They will read the codes abs dignose. a run of the mill garage wont cut it and dont discount MB themselves.

As to location I cant help, but someone else will.

Preston too far? CVM have full blown STAR and Steve is MB trained. They are not far from J31a of the M6 so easy to get to - shout if more details needed
