Mercedes is buying Ducati

No, I can't ride sports bikes anymore as I have no more get out of gaol free cards.

I have an early bandit 1200 with a full titanium akrapovich system and a few other goodies. It goes well, wheelies everywhere but thankfully being bare, I can't ride it above 140.

Ive also got a rather mad super tenere with a TRX conversion and ....ah... well.... pretty much everything modified. It breathes fire, sounds like the devil is inside her and eats more fuel than my sl500.

I had an encounter with a bandit a few year ago... the guy rammed into me at a junction, and then had the cheek to take me to court... Well built bikes, even after ramming into the side of a W202 it was rather intact!

I'm actually working in Langley at the moment, so if you're still around the corner, I may see you (look out for a white ford probe... or hopefully a ducati soon ;))

I've long believed the SuperTen would make the basis for a good nutter-motard. I'm still lusting after a supercharged HPN Rallyesport, on the basis that it'll still be around after a direct nuclear strike.

However, the Ducati was easier, and unbelievably a good chunk cheaper. Bit short on fuel range though.

Mine has a TRX850 engine, complete with hot cams and FCR carbs and a completely unsilenced exhaust. The front end has a WP upside down fork conversion with a 17"x3.5" front wheel and fully floating Beringer brakes with a fat 5" wide 17" rear wheel shod with intermediate wets front and rear.

I've also covered the bike in crash bars and chequer plate aluminium to make it more crash friendly as well as a ton of other mods I cant remember off hand - so many in fact that it had to be insured as a custom bike. :D

It is a bit of an animal and not at all easy to ride but it is completely bonkers. :bannana:

That's pretty much the spec I would have envisaged :D

Given that I'm now racking up 400 miles a week on the MTS, the urge for something special will have to be filled by a GSX Katana-based special.

Only as long as they set off in plenty of time! :p

They have to leave early so they can go back and pick up the bits that have fallen off:D:D
