Mercedes Me App

Hi fellow enthusiasts, do I have to have my Mercedes serviced by a main dealer to have the Mercedes Me app or can I purchase this separately?
Only asking because my service contract only has one service left and I’ve found a non main dealership garage that specializes in Mercedes!

Mercedes Me doesn’t require the car to be serviced by a main dealer, however you will not see any further services in the electronic service book unless the workshop you plan to use pay to have the ability to do so. Some Mercedes specialists will do exactly that, others won’t - ask before you book to avoid disappointment later .
