Mercedes ml250 wheels

Hi
I have a Mercedes ml250 2013 with wheels that have an offset of 56
I want to change wheels but wheels I’ve chose off a gle have an offset of 42 .
will these fit , I have googled it but finding it quite confusing .

The GLE wheels will sit 14mm closer to the wheel arch according to the offsets you provided.
I would physically measure the gap between your existing tyre and the wheel arch to see if there is a gap of more than 14mm.
I'd also check with the wheel on full lock.

Minds a bit clearer now , couldn’t get head around what I was reading on the net
