help with mercedes benz model please?

can anyone help me identify a mercedes model? A friend of mine owned a coupe type (two door) in the mid 1980's and i would like to find out what the model was. I know it wasn't the two seater sports type more a 2+2. Any help would be appreciated plus photo, many thanks Susan.

As far as the 2+2, it could have been a W123 CE,W124CE,SLC,SEC depending on the age and actual size of the car. More clues would help
