Mercedes Open Weekend E Coupe/convertible

Did anyone visit their local?
I went to Grimsby and felt a bit embarrassed when pulling in as my car was absolutely pitted!
Previously I had only travelled locally about 20 miles but that salt certainly clings on. I had intended to clean it beforehand but the weather this morning was dire.
Spent 2 seconds looking at the convertible and the air curtain on top of the windscreen and then drooled at a cls for another 10 minutes.
Journey worthwhile though as I am going to win that holiday to Mauritius :bannana:

Yes I went along and saw the new convertible. Pretty impressive and a step up from the CLK. Some cost cutting in trim, thought the multi-contour seat adjusters were cheap and not as easy to operate. Evidently the old ones kept breaking. Took a 350CDI Coupe for a test drive and very nice power, brakes and steering. Ride a bit hard and still crashy over potholes, but a bit better.

I think I have won the holiday!

Cleaned the car yesterday, sun is beating down today so might pop back to pick up my holiday tickets!
Great day for them to show off the convertible.

i was very tempted by our local invite, but thought it best not to! we've got no plans to swap ours for years yet but you know how these things go, "i only went to have a look..."!
