A quote from Nick Fry of Brawn GP

"I think the other huge credit has to go to Mercedes-Benz. I don't know if it has been observed but the engine in Jenson's car is the first F1 engine to win three races in succession. To have an engine which is that good in terms of its performance, durability and reliability is a tribute to the guys in Stuttgart and Brixworth."

Another Mercedes powered Brit, and technology we can be proud of.:D

I think Jenson is kinder on the car too than many other drivers, so as a package, everything seems to be gelling nicely.

Same engine went into the Hamiltons car as well - Embarassing result for him. But yeh great package with the Brawn. Has Jenson 'Buttoned' up the championship?

well the engine may say mercedes benz but i am sure it is made in northampton

Brixworth is very close to Northampton.
Does that not make it a British car, driver and engine?
Still makes me proud to drive a Mercedes!;)

Have you seen how many teams are using mercedes engines:
- Brawn GP
- Maclaren
- Force India

and I might be forgeting one more. Thats good going for the engines.

I am always curious though why those teams do not produce or customise mercedes models for the road just as one off editions. Imagine a C63 or E63 in white with engine tune and minor cosmetic/aerodynamic work by Brawn and a little sticker detailing on the back.

From reputation only they would sell them. Same goes for maclaren, imagine a maclaren C63 or E63. I know they want to reamain in the supercars league but Brabus cars are supercars.

Just a thought.
