mercedes remote alarm keyfobb falling apart, need replacement housing casing etc...

the buttons have cracked on my casing, However it still works flawlessyly, Is there a Fix?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

Buy a casing off Ebay , strip out your old innards and transfer them to the new casing.

I was thinking of that, BUT was wondering about a particular quality of an item, Anyone bought one that was original & they are happy with?

have you the majority bought a used fobb, OR just a housing?

I Would like to buy one with Recomendation!

These must be a common occurance...

Are they easy to open Up & replace?

The ones on Ebay are genuine items , that are from either scrapped cars , or lost or left over from parts departments. Very high quality as they are OEM , most people are vey happy with them.

You cannot program the used fobs to your car , so in effect you are buying it for the housing.

I can thoroughly recommend buying one.

It is a common occurence to need to change them as the buttons break.

Yes they are easy to open and replace the insides.

Thanks for the knowledge, I was thinking I could find & buy the housing alone brand new as a replacement, Without the electric circuitry..

So If I want a genuine one, I need to buy a Used complete fobb right?

Never seen the housings for sale on their own.

The complete used fobs are only about a tenner.

I've got several genuine MB keys.

Is it the chunky square flip out key or an EIS 'triangular' key?

lots on ebay
will the old shape insides fit into the new style key with the silver surround

Yes its the 3 button, With flip out key, Without silver around the edges...

Pm me price please...

From previous threads, I understand that the circuit board from the older key fobs will not fit inside the newer 'chrome' fobs

That's correct, as previously mentioned they're a different size / shape.

Is this the one you need?

I dont think that the innards can be changed over from the early W203 type to the newer chrome sided type. I know that the emergency key is different too
