Hello everybody.
This is my first post on any forum. I have read hundreds of posts here and on the other forums and finally decided to join and to ask a question that is been bothering me. :)
I am writing to you from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I have a problem with my Mercedes S320 cdi 2004 with I believe 722.6 transmission. It has 175.000 miles on the clock and it is in very good condition.
I have been reading everything on the web about it but have not found anything concrete so I decided to ask you guys for an opinion.
Problem is the shudder (if that is a right word) that I have at low speeds. It is best described as fast release of the last inch or so of the clutch in a car with manual gearbox. Entire car jumps forward a bit.
Also a have noticed in some occasions that when car slows down, at a stop light for example, it feels like manual gearbox left in gear and at certain point it shudders and then slows down normally, like you coast to a light stop in 3rd gear and after one or two shudders you press the clutch after which the car calmes down and glides to a stand still normally.
This two things only occurs on light driving and at low speeds.
One more thing that I have noticed are uneven revs on constant speeds. For example, on 70 mph. They change for about 50 rpms constantly. It feels like I slightly press and release the gas pedal all the time.
Gear changes are OK. It changes gears normally without shudder at that precise moment.
From what I have learned from reading on the internet about this it feels like a TC lock up problem. I have read that some people change PWM solenoid which cures the problem, some also suggest the change of entire conductor plate, some buy the entire TC...
Please, can you give me some pointers on what to do with this problem??

Some indys here ask for 700 EUR to put reconditioned TC but I dont know will that solve my problem and also I am trying to pay less if I can in order to solve this. Especially if it is something small like TCC solenoid.
I went to a Mercedes dealer here and they ask for 2500 EUR  to put new TC and they say it will solve the problem.
Looking forward to hear from you because this small annoyance is driving me crazy. :wallbash:
Thank you very much!

Get a specialist merc guy to remove ALL the fluid from the transmission and refill with new fluid and filter.
Add dr tranny judder fix to the transmission and your issue should resolve itself.

It may come back after a few thousand miles though

Thanks for a quick answer.

Yes. I have done that. Filter, oil and electrical conector plastic so that the oil does not go to the computer (I dont know the name in english, sorry).

And yes you can feel the tc lock up circuit engaging when it shouldn't!!!

Did you add the dr tranny judder fix????

Is there a way to confirm that the problem is TC itself and not something else?
If I can tell for sure that the TC is dead I would go for a reconditioned TC.
