Car
SLK32, Clio Diesel
Here for sale is my Mercedes SLK32 AMG. If you're looking for one of these you'll know about how few there are and how fast they are so I won't go on about that here. I've owned the car for nearly 3 years and in that time it has been very well cared for and any issues have been sorted. It's a fantastic car and there's not many cheaper ways to get into a genuine AMG convertible of thiscondition and mileage. I always intended for this car to be a keeper, but priorities have changed and the car will now be replaced by something more sensible!

There are a few others for sale at the moment and this one compares very favourably with the price range between £9300 - £13000. As such, the asking price is fair as it's more than worth the money I’m asking. If you're not willing to pay that price the car will not be for you.

Electrics - The 2 most common problems with these are failing heated seat elements and PSE which have been rectified, so everything works. All the electrics work as they should including the electric windows, roof, remote central locking with 2 keys. The air-con works and was re-gassed last month. The original CD player is in place and working.

I've done around 12K miles since I’ve had it but it has been serviced by date rather than mileage, so in that time it's had 4 oil changes including one done this month in preparation for sale. All the other service items have also been seen to. An hour after I bought it I took it to PCS in Hampshire to have the gearbox oil and diff oil changed. Other more commonly neglected fluids I’ve had changed are the supercharger oil and power steering fluid.

Engine & exhaust- The supercharger was replaced last year after a magnetic clutch issue on the original. It was sourced from a Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 and had space for the engine builder plaque, which the original 2002 didn't have. The gaskets were all replaced at the same time as were 2 of the serpentine belt pulleys. Needswings intercooler fluid isolation kit was also fitted. The
only other modifications are that the secondary cats have been removed after it was found one had already been gutted. I still have the shells of the cats so you can return it to standard look if you desire. The intake manifolds have been painted red.

The crankshaft position sensor failed and was replaced with a Bosch one.

The car drives great and has all the performance you'd expect with a nice but unobtrusive sound until you put your foot down. It changes gear as it should in either fully or semi-auto mode.

Wheels / suspension - The front wishbone bushes have been replaced as they were showing signs of wear, although they were still good enough to get through an MOT without being an advisory but I wasn't happy to leave them, so they were changed. 4 wheel alignment on a Hunter machine was carried out after this. The wheels are in good condition. All tyres have been replaced and are Dunlop RT Maxx with the rears being replaced in January.

Body - The bodywork is in good condition and the car looks great. It's not concourse condition and I wouldn't claim it's perfect, but you have to look closely to see any imperfections. The front bumper has a couple of chips in it and the under side has some scrapes where it has met with a kerb or speed bump. I've de-badged it which gives it a much cleaner look and also makes cleaning easier. I've
got all the badges and some great adhesive so you can put them back on if you like.

Interior - The interior looks great and the seats are in good condition with no rips. The carpets are in great condition as is the roof lining. All the electrics work as they should. The air con blows very cold.

As you can see it has been regularly serviced, though some would probably still say it's got a full service history! You can be
assured that since I’ve had it it has been well maintained and not done to a price. The oil has always been Mobil One New Life 0w40.

MOT history - In my ownership the car has passed first time every time without any advisories. The MOT certificates show:

25/02/17 - 74542 miles
27/02/16 - 72723 miles
28/02/15 - 67812 miles
20/03/14 - 63913 miles
09/04/13 - 60261 miles
21/09/12 - 59288 miles
18/02/11 - 49727 miles
14/12/09 - 44699 miles
27/05/08 - 35477 miles
01/06/07 - 30844 miles
31/05/06 - 23353 miles

The only failure it's had during all those years according to the electronic MOT history was in 2009 for a blown bulb, so it has been
a well maintained car throughout its life.

The car will come with it's full tool kit including the locking wheel nut, first aid kit, tyre care kit, set of books including owners
manaul, service book, radio book with code. It also has a mesh windstop which really works and the floor mats.
