Mercedes Specialist Auto Electrician near Basingstoke, Reading, Bracknell

Hi Everyone.
I am desperate to find a good Mercedes Auto Electrician that really knows what he/she is doing? I have upgraded my steering wheel on my C Class 320 (2008) to a 2012 AMG steering wheel. The two steering wheels are not directly compatible so whilst my indicators, lights etc. works my horn, trip computer, height adjuster does not work. Can anyone recommend someone that does not get phased by a challenge and is not afraid devising their own electrical solution to solve their own problem?? I am happy to travel to the right garage or workshop who can help! Thanks

Not near Basingstoke, but MBenzNL springs to mind.

The bold text above are links to websites. The first is in the Netherlands, but travels, and is regarded as the retrofit Meister. The second is in Guildford, and worth the trip, as they're well regarded Mercedes specialists for retrofits in the UK - very helpful, and members too.

I used to live near you (in Yateley) and working with lots of Mercedes meant I got to know most places in the area, indies and dealerships. Comand Online are only a stone’s throw away in Lightwater and definitely the go to people.

Fantastic, thank you. I will call them in the morning.. I have struggled to find reliable committed and knowledgable auto electricians that are not afraid of thinking outside of the box

You could always put the old wheel back ? Is this project worth the heartache ?

That is one option but it is easily more comfortable than my previous steering wheel and I do 20K miles per year on business..

A slight correction to Bobby ..... Command.com/Unique is not in Guildford, they are 2 junctions down the M3 from you in Lightwater.... a very easy trip!

All I know is that it’s further than i’d Like it to be from my house!

I even knew it was in Lightwater. I blame the heat.
