Mercedes Sprinter 313 cdi vibration underload

Oo ok is there anyway of finding out at all ? As it may help me if I just need to have it connected to a mercedes star diagnostic machine to diagnose
I'm not at work just now as I recently had surgery but I'll try and find out. Certainly a star machine has lots of actual values and guided tests relating to injectors so if you know someone with a star it's worth plugging in.

So yes I./We have one in the shop.
Far better by far, for grab 'n go though, is Autologic a multi platform diagnostic tablet which has "oudles of MB progs" all loaded on it amongst other brand platforms.
Made in the UK, we have 4 of these @ $5000 each; AND with subscriptions of $250 /month we get full technical support should we need it.
Try getting that out of MB? Well say no more!! Nudge Nudge!!
So for us, most customers don't like paying for diagnostics, the Autologic is a cheaper tool to use & to get instant results for "financially challenged" impatient customers.

Now to the vibro bit ,as requested .
I would need your Vin# to know what engine derivation you have, because you folks have gone all Euro on us :eek:in our whirrled, and we have the EPA, Feds & California 800 lb Gobermint Gorillas all calling the emissions shots on this side.:D
However if you can get your hands on a decent factory style scanner get into live data, then into high pressure fuel delivery'
There will be four PIDS because yours is a 4 banger!
Each PId will be labelled ZERO QTY CALIBARATION at 1200 r/m. Injector #1 , injector #2 & so on

Touch each PID on the screen read off the qty being injected .
If several injectors out of whack you will see which ones are because they will be glaringly different.
Also look for another PID injected qty in MG/Hub as an additional reference point at idle when the vibros occur .

Let us know, quoting the figures, but I bet the issue is something much less complicated.

This goes to the service desk , but we won't be able to answer much 'til Tuesday , as we have a huge snow storm coming in over the next 2 to 3 days .
(2 to 3 ft of snow expected )
Highway patrol advisory:- do not drive (at all)
Everyone has "Got outta Dodge City" and headed for the ski resorts before the snow deluge starts.

Inlet manifold broken bolt mate. Get the garage to put the smoke machine on it and I bet the smoke is pissing from it. Need to replace the manifold. I bought a 313 LWB last week, new propshaft fitted to it, driving it home it lacked power, had a vibration and was black smoking, my mate has a garage and said straight away It's the inlet manifold, and it was. Seems the conman I bought it from couldnt figure it out and sold it.

Hi ya .
Mine turned out to be the injectors mate after tests were done on them no 3 no 4 failed fitted 4 new reconditioned ones and now runs like a dream . 🙂🤟
Was good to finally get to the bottom of the head ache thanks to all that helped 👍

I have a bad vibration only when I push hard on the accelerater I have just been to a prop shaft specialist where they fitted a new 3 peace shaft and there's no difference still the same . I'm pulling my hair out to what it could be as it doesn't lack power at all just vibration on heavy load . Tia in advance in anyone who can help get to the bottom of this .
Hello, i have the same on my 315cdi
It came gradualy from 5years agoo.
Changed: cardan , motor mounts, flywheel/clutch, injectors .... NOT FIXED
Did you finally found the problem?

Hi Guys
I have had this problem on my 2013 sprinter. Vibration under load going up hills and take your foot off the gas and it’s gone. It was a faulty injector revs up fine while stationary. I Hope this helps someone and you Marky.
