Mercedes to Honda

I came up against an NSX a couple of days ago.

It was nice apart from looking like an expensive Prelude.

Is that a less generous way of calling it a sleeper? :)

It could be taken that way, but how many people bought a Prelude?

Me, for one. :) I remember it being quite a comfortable 2+2 GT. Fun engine, slick gearbox. Affordable second-hand and reliable. I wish honda made a coupe these days.

The Prelude was a great car according to many pundits; LJKS himself approved very much, especially of its 4WS. The 4th gen especially has its diehard fans.

A couple of months ago, I parked the NSX in a motorway service station all on its lonesome, as far away from other cars as I could. Came out after my coffee to see someone had chosen to park right next to it. Hmm... turned out to be a really well kept Mk3 Prelude, which a young Honda fan had managed to score for peanuts - it was a fantastic amount of car for the money.

To be fair, I didn't think it looked much like the NSX, but then I don't have the same optician as Dieselman. :p
