Mercedes viano roof rails

Does anybody know if the roof rails on the viano long can be adjusted ie does the end of the bracket pull out so you can cut the rails to fit a mercedes compact then can the end be slid back in i have had a look but cant seem to budge the end sure someone on here said they can be cut down but i cant find the post thanks all

Wouldn't have thought that possible. They would need to be rigid and any weight on them, if they were just a push fit, could cause to flex and pull out.

M-B definitely sold different versions for each of the 3 lengths. It may be possible to modify longer ones to fit a shorter van but as Marku mentions it probably wouldn't be a great idea if you plan on using them.
