OK this has been posted many times in various other threads but gets buried and there seem to be numerous threads popping up for VIN decodes.

Decoding your VIN will display the factory Datacard showing options fitted to the car at time of manufacture. If the vehicle has had options retrofitted, these will not be displayed unless the work was done by someone who has access to update the Datacard.

Firstly you need your VIN. This should be visible through the windscreen or on some vehicles it is inside the door. It should be 17 characters and should start WDB, WDC etc.

If you cannot find the VIN, try putting your Vehicle Registration mark (VRM) in one of the following links.

https://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/Login/Index

These should generate the VIN from the Registration.

You should now have the VIN which needs to be put into one of the following sites.

Mercedes-Benz Car parts catalog | MBFans.info <<also has parts catalogue
Checking VIN for Mercedes-Benz | CARInfo

There is also an Android App available to download HERE

You should now have you Datacard!

If it does not decode, check your VIN from the car. If it still does not show, the vehicle could be too new. If for any reason it doesn't show, you can try posting a request in this thread and someone can try EPC or WIS.

Happy Decoding!

I vaguely recall you could do this from the Eurocarparts website.

I'd just give the seller a call. When selling a car I t's no hassle taking a call from someone genuinely interested.

These are wrong for my car, they state "MERCEDES C220 CDI BLUEEFFICIENCY AMG SPO" whereas it is actually an SE Executive model.

The loss of vin code info from the warranty site is a shame and recent - I had successfully uses the Merc one for sl55 sorts of cars so there is clearly a national database linking reg to plate. I wonder if there are direct access routes...

I use car parts website to get VIN from plate. It requires registration but it's simple process. Blue Print LIVE

Go to Catalogue and put reg plate there. It will produce VIN.

Same here and I got it from one of your posts a while ago. Lets hope it doesn't get battered and removed

Its probably a 4. If it is a 4 then it's an Alabaster White late 2002 S500 with black nappa leather and is a Japan spec car.
