Mercedes Vito 108
Hi There,

I have recently bought a 2001 Mercedes Vito 108 van converted into a camper.

The radio does not pick up a good signal at all.

It seems the aerial has been removed from the original position and plugged with a black plug. Could someone tell me if it's been relocated to the roof?

(I have attached a couple of pictures)

Thank you.

Yep.
My old Vito 110cdi had a wing mounted aerial where the plug is on yours. Fwiw my van came with a broken mast & the replacement Vito aerial was very expensive (even though it didn't seem very special IMHO) so that maybe why someone has fitted a cheap roof mounted one.
Hth.

Thank you for your reply. I'm guessing the mast has come off the roof has it? I'll pop into Halfords to see if they have a replacements.

I presume you're right. It looks a bit like the bottom knuckle joint from one of those rubber aerials.

Fwiw I have the 639 Vito now, and I wish it had a conventional aerial.; These newer Vito's have the aerial built into the windscreen, and they are prone to interference from internal electronics.

Cheers for your help!
