Mercedes w124 plastic bracket info please

Yesterday i had to remove the ashtray . And under the zebrano wood trim that covers the transmission tunnel i came across this bracket . Dont know what its for .Any one know what it is . Before we start if you dont know, then please dont reply by making up some stupid answer Poor picture but the number is - 90 412 13 677. Thanks for looking ..

I don't know what your black plastic part is but with a part # someone else might, or be able to find it.

there is also a metal support bracket under the switch section -is this a plastic version

grober this panel as never been removed before by me, or by the first owner my cousin . I am the first to remove it , and the bracket was just sitting there on top of the deadening felt of the transmission tunnel . And also i would think that if it was the new type of bracket you show in your diagram then where are the screws ? .

Only other thing I can think of would be some sort of mount for an early radio telephone which was not fitted subsequently- Mercedes used to mount these on the side of the tranmission tunnel. Without a pucka MB part no its only speculation.

grober your idea might be close .I will do a Google image search ,my friend told me to drop a picture of the bracket in the search box and it will search the dimensions ,we will see if i can do this it would be good if it did work .
