Hi There,

How to properly adjust fuel mixture in 116 engine using that allen bolt? did someone know how many turns??
as far i know clockwise make a richer mixture , but how to check is enough rich.

do I need exhaust gas meter and if i need what should be readings.

Thank you all in advance for any help you can provide

Welcome to the forum.

That screw is a last resort, and should only be messed with if everything else has been checked.

You press down on it until it catches and them It takes very minute turns, definitely need a reliable gas analyser, maybe ask to use the local mot station one? Or let them do it...

Reading should be around 1.5% at warm idle. Remember any adjustment will take 30 secs to level out on the co meter...

From some time exhaust gas smells really rich, also when I waiting on traffic lights and try start very fast , car start choking and jumping (to rich rich mixture?) New Spark Plugs new ignition coil, new leads, only mixture left to play.
I can find any locally trusted mechanic (Two independent Mercedes specialist let me down)
Consumption fuel at this moment is around 15 MPG.
