Dear Colleagues

good evening

I have just purchased my new work car, W204 C280 sport estate, 2008

My last cars have been w203 c180 Komp sport edition

Please can you advise on more power upgrades on the 225bhp it kicks out!

what Diagnostic tools have you purchased for yourself?

Also, I would like to change the steering wheel, way to bigg!

I would be interested in what w204 owners have done to the stereo system?

Thanks

Manni

iCarsoft MB2.0 is a very good diagnostic tool.

As for steering wheel changes, you would need to have the airbag unit installed or similar replaced to follow Construction and Use regulations, unsure who may supply one that meets your criteria and be legal and pass an MOT.

Power upgrade, simple, buy a more powerful car. Your vehicle is normally aspirated and any gains through mapping would be marginal.I imagine that this car is noticeably faster than your previous C180?

Regards the stereo, it depends what model is already fitted, better speakers would a relatively cheap upgrade.

Dear Dsm10000

Thank you for your reply.
This is massively poweful than the 180komp, my work colleague who drives a audi s3, like the sound of the exhaust.
Really comfy and the seat hold you in.
A bit juicy on feul, but awesone ride, honestly a beauty!

The previous owner already removes stock pop up screen and added a 7" andorid system with facia surround, its a cheap one

I will be looming to reaplce it with a more know brand with amp and upgraded speakers.

Upgrade the ecu is all i will do.

Any advise on best sparks and also good service garages that carry put near merc like servcice??

Thanks

Hi am based in Essex, closer to Romford

Hi DSM10000

when i do a search for this iCarsoft MB2.0 is a very good diagnostic tool, it comes up with used on sprinters?

sorry, beg your pardon, your right
Any info on the service garages that carry put near merc like servcice??

also, ecu tuners for my car?
would you recommend air filter? ,

Hi Gaz, you mean a clean oem one?

Changing the air filter will not improve perfotmance (assuming the ones fitted is not dirty and blocked) , so called "performance air filters" might give you an increase in noise though!

The throttle response and power delivery are all controlled by the ECU map and as saod peviously said, the performace gains you can make on a normally aspirated engine are minimal without substantial expense.

thank you DSM,
I would like to find a reasonable ecu remapper? do you know a good?
Also, a good merc service mechanic?
what about the exhaust? just a slight roar, nothing silly mind you?
thanks
Manni

I suggest using Google to look for tuning services and as for specialists in your area where are you based?

Thank you DSM, appreciate your help
If you post the area you are based in then members can suggest some good independents for you :)
