Mercedes w221 bluetooth

This probably was mentioned before but would like to be sure That I'm doing all correctly
I have iphone 5 and cannot pair it with my w221
- Car will find my phone,
- no problem I can authorise it
- but pressing connect on phone itself will pop a message "not supported" ?
Any thoughts guys ?
Is it that software updates all the time on iphones playing games?

Is it a Mercedes HFP, or Mercedes SAP, or ViseeO bluetooth adapter?
Are you trying to use bluetooth handsfree or bluetooth audio A2DP?

Doesn't look like I have a socket in arm rest to plug anything in

The W221 comes with bluetooth as standard, but not for handsfree - it's for using a headset with the car kit.

There's a connector in the arm rest for the additional bluetooth handsfree module.

I don't have that,It's blanked off
Weird got bluetooth but no telephone kit it seems
Need to plug it to Star, to have a look

Bluetooth on in the car and phone
Search for devices in the car
Once car looks up my phone I press authorise
Car Asks me for code (do my 4 digit combo)
Same appears on my phone, putting code as on the car
Car says authorised
On my phone I can see cars bluetooth but once I press connect it throws "not supported" message on my phone

Yea that's it. That's the problem.
I think you are connecting to the iPhone as a headset, not the other way round.

How do you mean the socket for the bluetooth handsfree module is "blanked off"? It should just be a cover that you remove to expose the socket.

Hey man,
I am having the very same issue. It does find my phone, but when I click on the bluetooth which my phone finds it says not supported. What is missing cradle?
How can I check if it is the same?
