Been looking to possibly change the E350 so clicks onto MBUK used search. It has to the worst website I’ve ever used. Anyone else share my opinion ?

Loads of big corporations are like this, put together by marketing departments that don’t or won’t follow the “customers journey” so end up with an absolute dogs dinner of a website and because they’re so big no-one takes ownership so nothing gets done!

It's a bit clunky. I can't find a way to specify the engine size and features. I took a look at the new car configurator and that hardly lets you choose anything.

Generally the bigger the company the worse the web site is. They seem to have no conception that prospective customers have visited the site to gain information as easily as possible, instead they set out to superficially impress with arty graphics. You can usually tell how it's going to be when the first page is a useless timewaster that conveys zero information.

I agree - I was going to have an idle browse of the used cars yesterday but gave up. You can't even drill down on engine size. The old site was way better.

I must be looking at a different website, never had any problems. All your options on the left hand side , trim, engine ,age, milage ,colour and options . ????????

I tried to look for a GLC43 recently, gave up after being presented with a number of 250 ones.

Nearly bought a diesel instead...

Nah, just kidding.

This...!

It couldn't get more simpler?!?:dk:

I wouldn’t say all large corps have crap sites, some I read through have really good ones but MB’s is really bad and I can only explain it as a crap limited offer in car options they have in UK.
For MB Marketing gurus Brits only look for biggest possible wheel diameter, AMG badges all over the place, carbon fibre wraps, fake duo & quad exhaust ends and phone mirroring.

Thank god it’s not just me then.

Wondering if it’s better to just use Autotrader as their search results also include manufacturer approved?

Couldn’t be be more right, we may be interested in a new GLB, but I’d like one with some fancy wood and nice big wheels that’s not an AMG line, the German ones look nice, but I fear we in the U.K. will end up with some AMG thing with black interior and silver trim, hope im wrong.

A quick look at the Irish site shows how nice a current E class can be, with a star on the bonnet!!!!

Yep its completely woeful

Awful website. The Porsche one is excellent.

In seconds you can see all models and spec it up. Brilliant

I don't really have any issues on the Approved Used site as the options are down the left hand side (some are concealed until you open them out at the bottom of the default options).

You do have things like engine size (albeit it's based on the model rather than the actual engine size IIRC).

I find it annoying you can find every car with a certain option like you can with BMW - you can literally search out all cars with "comfort seats" only.

I wished they all put in a little more effort to include more of the options a car has as not everyone goes by what paint the car is.

When I was looking at Lexus previously, you could find all cars with the Mark Levinson sound system. Then they "revised" the website and this option stopped working. I asked them about it and they told me "it no longer functions by design and there are no plans to change this".

There's an article about MB's new online showroom in Automotive Management. Here's a quote:

Mercedes-Benz Cars UK sales director, Rachael Thompson, said: “In the digital world, the online showroom is a hugely important part of the changing customer journey.

“We want to make it as simple as possible for a customer to research and choose their Mercedes-Benz.”
