I am thinking of getting the alignment/geometry done on my two MB cars - W124 E220 Estate and W208 320 CLK.

Do I need to go to a mercedes specialist for this that specific machines such as the Beisbarth or will any reputable alignment shop with a Hunter machine do ?

In particular, does the self levelling suspension of the W124 estate need a specialist ?

I am thinking of Wheels-In-Motion as I have used them before for my other cars and Tony has a great reputation but I am not sure if they are the right people for Mercs and W124 estates in particular ?

Yes, WIM is very good, went to see him a few times - but why don't you just drop Tony a PM or email and ask him?

Second that....WIM sorted out alignment on both my current mercs and a previous one...all three had tyre wear problems on front and WIM sorted this out.

what an amazing web page, but the real life address is not easily seen!

WIM it is then - just wanted to check first :thumb:

I have clk320 w209, on 53 plate, bought it 2nd hand in 07, from day one the car pulls to the left, took it to National Tyres changed all 4 tyres to contiplus balance and allignment and didnt help, took it to Merc dealer (£135.00) and the same, Merc said it is normal on all Mercs, ofcourse they will say that! and the car still pulls to the left annoyingly.
However I got refund from National Tyres for the alignment and Merc didnt charge as was still under warranty.
I had c320 on 52 plate and c200 R reg before. the c200 was perfect from day one and with no pulling at all. The c320 was perfect until i took it to college tyres in Perivale to change front tyres and they recommended alignment and after that the car strated pullin to the left, I wish they never touched. So my conclusion is this: from factory the car goes straight as it should but once the car hit the kerb or for wotever reason the alignment is gone then I dont know where to take who knows how to align Mercs. My car mechanic who is not a merc sealer says a car shouldnt pull to the left and if it can't be alligned by a Merc dealer then something is wrong with the car!
please let me know how you get on
